Well, I've just started writing. I put it off because I continued to be doubtful that this event has potential for a memoir. I'm still not sure it does. I'll keep writing and see if it gets anywhere.

Same boat. I started writing last night and still don't know if this will ever be more than just dry AF. But it's good to get out of my writing comfort zone. |

Proud of you all for sticking with it and giving it a shot. I've never written anything like this, so it definitely felt weird at first. Wait, I take that back. I guess the last time I faced this sort of challenge was way back in college Writing 101 or something. Don't think it went to well, LOL.  Edit: And, yes, you have until Monday night to submit your entry. |

We're threatened with an ice storm this afternoon for several hours which could take out power. If so, we'll likely be out of commission for a few days. In the event I don't get my submission uploaded in time, I'd like to wish everyone good luck and I will look forward to reading the entries when I'm back in business. Hoping for the best though.....  |

Oooh Monday! Good! I was thinking it was due Sunday night. One extra day in my head! Hurray. Finished my draft last night. Will tackle edits today. I have many ideas on the format but can't settle on which to try...this definitely isn't my forte but reliving this experience has been interesting to say the least. I'm reading old emails trying to get details right. It's hard knowing what details to include and what to omit. Do people need to know this is that? Should I shorten this and lengthen that? Very challenging contest and I'm reluctant to admit I'm enjoying it now that I've decided on what experience to write about.
