Curiosity and the Experiment



Elizabeth, saw the passion in her fiancé’s face, heard it in his voice, and felt it in her soul.

“I must watch this, despite his warnings. To see his success, feel it, and share it with him. My desire can’t be corked, like a bottle of wine.”

She sneaked past Igor and hid behind a thick curtain, on the other side of the old control panel. Unfortunately, that was too close.

She screamed as lightning coursed through her body. She saw the horror in Victor’s face. She flew into the stormy night, lightning radiating from her eyes, along with tears.

Wishful

The swimming hole was a favourite haunt for local kids but when B.J. found the old lamp, everyone else had already gone home. Although rather worse for wear, B.J. knew exactly what it was. He couldn't believe his luck!

He used a towel to burnish the dull metal and thought about what to ask for. He grinned as he removed the iron cork and smoky swirls emerged from the spout.

B.J. was discovered face down in the shallows. A novice dog-paddler at best, it was assumed he'd drowned.

And not every Djinn is obligated to grant its liberator three wishes.
