Anyone know how to: (1) create a link in a post to another post located elsewhere on LF; and (2) whether it’s possible to have a link within a LF post to something posted on Blogger? Hope this wasn’t too convoluted to understand.

Sure! For number one: If you check the top right corner of your post, you should see the settings cog? Click the little down arrow next to it, and select "Link to post." It'll give you two options: the first one will link to that post within the entire thread, while the second one will just link to a page with only that specific post on it (which is weird and I've actually never seen a site that does that before lol). For number two: do you mean like An Embedded Link?

I’ll try to explain a little better. I participate in a weekly forum under the Blogger programme where the challenge is to create a 100 word story each week from three provided prompt words. My thought was that some of these might qualify for the 100 Theme Challenge here but in order to provide proof, I would have to show a link to that story and not sure how (or even if) that could be done because the story is posted as an individual blog entry. I have the feeling I still haven’t put this very well and offer my apologies.

Hmm, okay. So if I'm understanding it correctly, you would submit a story to this programme, it would get posted by them, and then you would need to link that specific blog post on here for verification purposes for the challenge? I think you should just be able to click on the individual blog post itself and then copy the link? Otherwise I'm not really sure. Like I know we have an embed feature for a lot of content, but nothing to support Blogger specifically. I'm pretty sure Raveneye has her blog through Blogger, she might understand the workings a bit better than I, actually. Eek, sorry!

Hmm, I'm trying to puzzle this out, and the way my brain works, I think I need a drawn diagram to show me what you're trying to post where.

Thanks to all for trying to help this poor tech-challenged know-nothing. I believe I MAY have it sorted. I'll give my theory a shot when the time comes to try and link and we'll see if it flies and whether it lands here or someplace in the dim and distant ether. Don't anybody hold their breath now...!!!

Can't figure out how to link within the LF forums either....despite Caulder's excellent instructions. I am SO lame...!!! To further explain, I am trying to link a post in the 100 Word Weekly Challenge to the 100 Themes listing to show that I have used that word. If there's a way to do it wrong, then I will.

Aw, no need to beat yourself up. It's okay, we'll figure out a way to pass on the instructions. Maybe screenshots?
I'll be back shortly with a few.

OKAY! Here we go. Maybe these screenshots will help? Or at least help you identify what's going on? Each click is a step, so it looks like the process is really long and complicated, but it goes really fast once you get it down. First: Then: Lastly: Does this help clarify? Or does it just muddy the waters?

Thank you for taking so much time and trouble, Raveneye. Makes things ABUNDANTLY clearer. I will give it a shot here shortly.
