I have one Golden Star and it references me as a “Spark.” Is the designation/amount of stars based upon number of posts or something else entirely? And how does one move up the pecking order ladder to receive more stars and/or a new designation?

The stars, I believe, have to do with member/moderator rank. (Except for Aubrey's stars, which are bugged for some reason. As a project aide, she's supposed to have two green stars, but they won't show properly, which has proven aggravating.)
Spark has to do with post count. We had the same post count system in the old forum, though slightly different.
The post count titles go something like
Spark Ember Flame Inferno Legend
I can't remember exactly, and I might edit in a few more titles since we actually have actively posting members again. (I think I left out Smoke and Nova.)
So your title will change as you reach certain post counts. At 50, you ought to upgrade to Ember (I think).

Edit: Okay, I've edited the post count ranks to include the ranks I had forgotten. They are now: Smoke: 0-49 posts, 1 yellow star Spark: 50 posts, 2 yellow stars Ember: 100 posts, 3 yellow stars Blaze: 500 posts, 4 orange stars Inferno: 1,000 posts, 5 orange stars Nova: 5,000 posts 6 orange stars Legend: 10,000 posts 6 silver stars I will add this information to the Rules & Guides forum, b/c someone else someday will ask a similar question. Thanks, Foxxglove, for bringing this to my attention!

You are most welcome, Raveneye. Always happy to be of assistance....despite my lack of technical savvy.
