A fun Thread for the rest of the year, lets think of different people, alive or dead, you think should be the perfromer to bring a fictional charecter to life either in live action or as the voice talent in the case of animation, animatronic, or video game. Metal Head (GIJOE franchies) to be played by Dave Ghrol (Lead singer to Foo Fighters, and Drummer to Nirvana). Metal Head in the toy and maybe comic universe of GIJOE was a serious, calculating demolition expert and always processing calculations in his head to have the right angle for missles and rockets to hit their target. In the Cartoon he was the goofy comic relief. And while frontman Dave Ghrol has his serious moments, he is considered one of the funny men of Hard Rock. It is the latter over the former that makes him perfect, besides whenever he sports the long hair and beard. Tim Curry as the voice behind any Greater Daemon of Choas or a Daemon Prince of Warhammer (espesialy 40K) Less likly to happen now after his stroke, but Tim has done both serious and friengthening, and hammy and rule of cool in his roles for years. And while I would like to see the large ham do a Keeper of Secrets or Changer of Ways, his Toxic Love Rendition coming out of a Great Unclean One (don't look this guy up while eating, or anything involving Papa Nurgle) would be fun...one of this more terrifying acts done as a Bloodthirster of Khorn (a Balrog with the numbers filed off) would also be amazing.

So they got Alexander Skarsgard for Murderbot and I saw someone say Charlize Theron would've been perfect and now I can't get that out of my head. She would've been perfect.
I'll think of more but that's the first one that popped into my head.

Ugh, they better dress up Skarsgard so we don't have to see him at all. Make him look like a bot then. But still, he doesn't fit the role at all. And I'll always be salty about this.

I read it as a feminine character.

I struggled through the first four novellas. Pretty overrated series imo. Not terrible. Not amazing. I dont really understand why so many people rave of them, but, eh... they do! Like Fourth Wing. I listened to the audiobook last year. Okay book; overrated.

I dont really understand why so many people rave of them, but, eh... they do! Like Fourth Wing. I listened to the audiobook last year. Okay book; overrated. I've only read the first one. Nice quick read. Can't see why people call it awesome and a breakthrough, etc. etc. Like, panelists at the Nebula Conference went on and on about it during different topics, and I was like, "Wow, this must be really mindblowing and pioneering," (on the scale of N.K. Jemisin's Broken Earth trilogy, you know?), so I bought it before the Con even ended. When I read it I kept looking for those mindblowing qualities, but it really amounted to "a nice light read for the weekend." A fun concept that I'm sure will pull at my heartstrings more and more as Murderbot tries to claim his/her/their individuality and independence, but at this point ... well, I didn't run out and grab the rest of the series ... so that says a lot. But now I will, because I'm protesting how the live-action series will probably ruin it.

Hehe, and yeah, why that guy? Probably comes down to money. I bet Charlize is too expensive. I mean, who doesn't know who Charlize Theron is? But this dude? I had no idea who he was and had to look him up. Been in lots of stuff. He's the son of that other Skarsgard we love (best Harkonnen creepy guy ever) So ... Okay. But who? Yeah, Alex is more affordable.

The surrounding worldbuilding is there and its fine, albiet underdeveloped.
