Midnight Quarry

The shriek of metal against metal reaches your ears, waking you from your slumber. The long days at the office have taken their toll. There are fewer passengers now than when you boarded. The subway comes to a stop and you read a flashing ribbon. 3N - Winchester Parkway.

The doors open. The other passengers exit. You are alone.

The subway moves when a sudden cold creeps into your limbs. The lights flicker. The railway muffles.

With your lack of sleep, you think you must be hallucinating.

Yet, the persistent shadow on the other end of the car refuses to leave.
