... and this is what was left after technical hiccups. 18 minutes of fascinating discussion!
I started brainstorming this idea with her a number of weeks ago. Like, what questions can we answer for writers that need tips? Advice on outlining, logical characters, and other informative learnings.
It was a longer video, which included a few Mad Max: Fury Road references. Alas, my internet crapped out twice and didn't record both of our video and audio feeds. And my mic was not close enough to my lips.
If I do this again, it'll be improved.

I absolutely love this!! Let me know if you need any audio editing help, I worked as a sound editor for a podcast for years before stopping to take care of my youngest. I miss it. Good times.

This was so much fun! And we have plenty of questions we never got to, if you want to try again before summer's end. Maybe I'll have Twitch running and recording as a backup next time? Will that even work? No idea.
Anyway, so sad the gremlins ate 30 minutes or so, but that had to be because it was goooood. But content that something was salvageable.
(And why the heck does my gorgeous pale blue paint job in my office look cream? Ugh. I'm so proud of that color. Need to change out the lighting, I guess.)

It's a shame the rest of the convo was lost, I would've loved to hear more about your discussion on writing tough characters. Are there plans to make this a regular thing? I'd love to hear more episodes of the two of you.
And I know it's silly, but over the years, I've kind of visualized everyone in this forum as their avatar. It's cool that I finally get to see - and hear! - some of you!

A buddy from church said he saw my Facebook post on it. Maybe him and others from church checked out this rough draft?

oh hey! I FINALLY got to see Furiosa. Loved it. The culture development of that post-apoc world is so outstandingly done. And I'm so glad I had seen "Fury Road" first, or that ending, with those quick clips of what happens after "Furiosa," I'd have been like "WTF was that?" But now I wanna go watch Fury Road again. |
