WHAT ARE HONOR POINTS?
Honor Points are LegendFire's reward system for completing prompts and challenges, and for competing in contests. There are 3 types of HP: Hard, Medium, Easy. Each challenge will tell you how many points it's worth. The rating depends largely on the projected amount of time and/or word count it will take for you to complete the challenge.
Challenges within this forum generally award 10 Hard, Medium, or Easy points apiece. Contests award substantially more. Participate in contests to accumulate HP faster.
HOW DO I EARN THEM?
Settle into the Prompts & Challenges forum, browse for an idea that inspires you, complete the challenge, and POST it into the challenge's thread. Posting your response is critical, to prove that you really and truly did the work. Or compete in our contests. You may complete a challenge endless times for the same number of points.
HOW DO I ADD THEM TO MY PROFILE?
Once you've posted your response to the challenge, proceed to your profile. Click "Edit Profile" --> click the "Personal" tab --> scroll all the way to the bottom --> see 3 fields named Hard, Medium, Easy --> type into the appropriate field the amount of points your challenge earned you --> click "Save Personal Settings"
The next time you complete a challenge, add the new reward to the old reward. In this way, you can accumulate thousands of Honor Points. Accumulate enough and you will earn shiny badges for your signature. Once you reach the following benchmarks, copy the code for the appropriate badge into your signature field.

For those of us veterans of the 2008-2017 LegendFire Critique Community, who had accumulated literally thousands of Honor Points during years of faithful participation, it seems unfair to ask you to start over with zero Honor Points and nothing to show for it. So please, loyal Legendfirians, accept the HP+ badge. Think of it as "adding new Honor Points on top of those you earned and lost when the forum closed."
