If you do not vote on ALL entries, your entry will be disqualified. Please follow these steps: 1. Critique each entry according to the following questions. Answer them as thoroughly as possible. Two sentences minimum per question. The goal is to help the author improve their craft. NOTE: voters who leave one-liner critiques to justify their vote will receive warnings according to our warning system.
Technical writing elements: Which elements were technically sound in this entry? What still needs work? (Consider things like spelling/punctuation/grammar, coherence, plotting, story arc, etc.) Artistic writing elements: What appealed to me in this entry? What might benefit from revision? (Consider things like how engaging the story is, appropriate word choice, metaphor, imagery, character development, uniqueness, etc.) Prompt: How well does this entry relate to the prompt?2. Assign each area a numerical value, from 1 to 5, with five being the most favorable.

You may vote for yourself to maintain your anonymity. This vote will not count toward the final score.

Ugh, I hope I didn't miss any formatting you all want in your stories. This stupid PM system doesn't have an edit button, so when I copy and paste, all formatting is stripped. I have to reapply every italic, tab, etc. manually. At midnight. When I've been awake for almost 24 hours. So...sorry if something is messed up. PM me with what I missed and I'll edit it in. All that to say, we might need to figure out a different system for submitting contest entries anonymously... However! A HUGE THANKS TO EACH OF YOU FOR ENTERING -- AND GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!

After I had to already do the same when submitting it to you— How about in the future, having us submit by pasting the BBCode of our stories in code tags? So like:
And then I was like, "How could you [i]do[/i] something like that?" And then you'd just paste our BBCode in a post and then it show up correctly, right?

That would be ideal. I hate to have to require computer non-savvy folks to take an extra step, but seriously, that's probably what we'll have to do. I've been trying to think up solutions all morning, but that's the only one I've come to that works long-term. If I provide screenshots of where the BB Code tab is and how to surround the whole thing in the code box, then maybe it won't put off too many people.

Voting reminders have been sent to all contestants!
To all Legendfirians who wish to participate in this critical part of the process, you have one week left to cast your opinion and your vote.
Quoting myself here to confess that I'm a dork who can't count. LOL! When I posted this reminder (and sent the reminders to our contestants), I neglected to include the last full weekend we have to critique/vote. The contest does not end this Friday, but the following Sunday night. So a week from NOW! Ugh. Totally forgot about the extra weekend I stuffed in there to help folks who don't have much free time during the week. Whatever. --- I'm trying to get my votes done in a timely manner, but we've had some lovely weather around here, so we're taking advantage of it and getting some day hikes in, which means I haven't been around in the past few days. Since seeing family is off limits right now, we're escaping into the outdoors. Looks like our other voters are pacing themselves and getting the job done. Fabulous feedback so far. ----- Lastly, one of our contestants has been excused from the critique process due to debilitating health reasons.
