Cold gray soot begins to smolder. Cinders begin to glow. Until WHOOM! The flame ignites anew. Fledgling wings spread and taste the wind. Eyes that burn like embers peer out upon a vast world and a long fall to the ground. A leap of faith. Will she fly or will she plummet?
Three years to the day after the original LegendFire Critique Community closed its doors, our beloved community returns.
As writers, we are isolated on the best of days in our pursuit of words and well-told tales. We’ve never needed community more than we do now. House-bound, working from home, fearful of the air we breathe, and forced to fight our fundamental need for human contact, we are likely finding ourselves more isolated than ever before.
If you’re in need of community, support, encouragement, and maybe a solid kick in the pants, come on in! We’ve broken the padlocks off the doors, torn the boards from across the windows, and opened our writing academy once again. There may be a little dust lingering in the corners, and there’s still a troll patrolling the basement, but after all, it’s home.
So sharpen your quills, thaw out your inkpots, and blow the dust off those manuscripts. Welcome back. Welcome home.
