Ever had a writer that you used to follow but you've stopped? Perhaps the writing got stale or their personal views rubs you the wrong way or you just don't have the same admiration that you once had?

Rick Riordan. After the whole arc of the story was over. The new series was no longer as impressive and interesting anymore. It is like watching the same magic show with slightly different props.

Anne Rice Used to be a fanatical reader of all her work, studied how she wrote, etc. throughout my teens and twenties. Then her characters developed consciences, and I got irritated by making vampires live by a feeding code that made those glorious villains sympathetic toward their victims. Bleh. AND she got religious and wrote a fictional account about Jesus. Just don't do that. People who take their God seriously will be completely alienated by such stunts. I stopped following her after those two developments. I have no idea what she's writing these days.  |

Used to read everything he'd publish but dropped when I've discovered that his recent books lacks the same bite that his older novels had.
Neil Gaiman
The issue I have with him as of late is that his main characters are dull. Especially when compared to the more eccentric supporting cast.
Jim Butcher
Three words. Women In Refrigerators. Not going to name the book but some of you may know what I'm talking about.
