As a side note, for anyone looking to vote, I'll be pinning the current poll at the top of the forum so it's easier to locate among the other polls (I don't know if it's a problem for anyone else but I always have to fight to find the dang thing.) Also I've been lax in updating the main page, but everything is now up to date with past entries/winners, and the current poll.

I like this Genre of the Week thing. It helped me narrow down my interpretation of the Weekly prompt. Neato. Pretty sure my entry this week fits the Spy Fiction genre, even though it doesn't count for the points. Silly, but I needed to do research for this little ol' 100 words. 'Twas fun.

Yes but you can use it as well, and claim the points.

Yes but you can use it as well, and claim the points. I have enough trouble coming up with something that fits the prompt, Pel. I'd never get to post anything at all if I had to incorporate a genre as well.

I'd never get to post anything at all if I had to incorporate a genre as well. That's too relatable LOL! The amount of things I could write for contests if I didn't have to some of the genres as well... But yes! Genre of the Week bonus points only apply to the normal prompts and challenges posts, not the 100 Weekly or the 100 Themes challenge (probably obviously lol). You can use it for inspiration in the 100 Weekly, but it's definitely not required. Just a way to help spark some interest for our regular challenges.

Note to self (and everyone involved)" "Comet" is the last entry permitted in this year's Compendium. Next week's prompt will go in the 2023 issue.

Bumping as a reminder for folks, but also to double check: since the main sub deadline has technically passed, how quickly would folks need to get their Comet entries submitted to you?

Alright! Tagging pelwrath , RAVENEYE , and FoxxGlove as a reminder: voting on "Comet" has concluded! If you're going to submit any of those entries for the Compendium, please, heed Raven's advice above and get those submissions turned in to her ASAP. Entries for "Chapel" will go into the next year's issue of the Compendium.

Hats off to Pelwrath this week for his "chill" poem. Hmm... how to follow that...?
