Back In The Day
There was a time when there had been an entertaining novelty song encouraging the listener to "Do The Funky Chicken." But chickens (funky or otherwise) are now extinct, along with every other bird.
There had once been a delightful ditty about "Tea For Two." But tea plantations are now defunct, along with the customary milk and sugar (or lemon).
There had also once been talk about "cutting a rug," defined as dancing in an energetic way. But music is a thing of the past (long past) and there's nobody left to dance with now anyway.
I often wish I'd never been granted immortality.
