Browsing for marketplaces to freelance edit fiction, I came across this organization: writers-connection.com/#about-us . Appears one hundred percent legitimate.
Lately, I have thought of nailing down my career path, as I am halfway to turning the big 3-0. Freelancing for other storytellers is a good way to help them polish drafts AND sharpen my skill.
Let me know what you think of that service. Registration is free. They confirm it on their end, then let you know before you look around further.

Looks good! Can't find anything that looks suspicious. I love sites that pool resources like this. The blog looks handy too. If you're wanting to try multiple places to branch out to look for clients, have you found Upwork yet? I joined it about a month ago and have been completing my profile and browsing for jobs. Upwork is probably where I'll go when I need a freelancer to edit any self-pub projects, too. I post a job, applicants send me their proposal, I invite the ones I like to interview them and make a selection. Upwork seems to be tied to LinkedIn somehow. I've learned how the Upwork folks make their money, but it's not expensive or invasive to us using their service, unless you just apply for a tons of jobs all at once and run through your currency. (I'm sure that makes no sense, but it will if you try it out.)

@raveneye Good. Me too. I wonder about getting myself side work there.
Yes. I read to avoid it like the plague. Akin to Fiverr. Underpaid, bad jobs, people treating freelancers worth little, until you gain a lot of experience.
Ugh... LinkedIn. Its social media for professionals. Jobs are posted there, and networks are built. Its only uses.
